Who is Bahloul?

Whale sharks, or “Bahloul” if you’re a local fisherman, the magnificent and gentle giant of the ocean, are in grave danger of extinction. These enormous fish, also known as whale sharks, are truly a sight to behold with their massive size and unique spotted pattern. But what makes them so special?

Why is the whale shark important for the eco system?

Whale sharks are filter feeders, consuming large amounts of plankton and small fish to help keep the ocean’s ecosystem in balance. They also migrate across the ocean, distributing nutrients and eggs to promote a healthy and diverse marine environment.

What can we do to help bahloul?

It is our responsibility to protect these magnificent creatures and ensure a future for them in our oceans. We can start by reducing our impact on the ocean and practicing sustainable fishing methods. This means using fishing gear that minimizes the risk of entanglement and avoiding overfishing important whale shark prey species. القرش الحوتي، أو بهلول لو انت صياد، كائن جميل و لطيف بس معرض لخطر الإنقراض. القرش كائن عظيم، و حجمه ضخم وشكله مميز. بس إيه اللي بيخليهم مميزين.

هوة ليه مهم

القرش الحوتي، مش بياكل! أو مش بالشكل اللي احنا نعرفه عن الاكل على الاقل، هم بيتغذوا على كائنات صغيرة جداً، زي البلانكتون.

كمان بيهاجر في المحيط و يوزع مواد غذائية و بيض، و ده بيساعد في بيئة بحرية صحية و متنوعة.

ازاي نساعد بهلول 

دورنا اننا نحافظ على الكائنات دي، و نتأكد إن لهم مستقبل في محيطاتنا، بدايتاً من تقليل تأثيرنا السلبي على المحيط، و نتبع طرق مستدامة أكثر للصيد. يعني نستخدم عدة صيد تقلل من خطر التشابك و نتجنب الصيد المفرط لكائنات مهمة زي القروش. كمان مهم ندعم كل المجهودات اللي بتحمي القرش الحوتي و نوعي عنها.

كمان مهم اننا ننشر ما بين صحابنا و اهلنا و كل اللي نعرفهم المشكلة اللي بتواجه القرش الحوتي و ازاي نحميه منها، بالطريقة دي هيبقى فى ناس كتيرة هدفها إنقاذ الكائن الجميل ده.
